This course explores the fundamental principles of developmental psychology, examining how individuals grow and change across the lifespan. Participants will learn about major theories of development, including those of Piaget, Erikson, and Vygotsky, and how these frameworks apply to cognitive, emotional, and social development. Key topics include early childhood attachment, adolescent identity formation, and lifespan transitions. Through discussions and case studies, students will analyze real-world applications of developmental psychology in mental health, education, and social work. By the end of this course, participants will gain a foundational understanding of human development and its relevance to psychological and social work practice.
